MAYOR VILLARAIGOSA RECEIVES THE ENDORSEMENT OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY AND SIERRA CLUB

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa received the endorsement of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party and the Los Angeles Chapter of the Sierra Club this past Tuesday, January 13th.

The Los Angeles County Democratic Party unanimously endorsed the reelection campaign of Mayor Villaraigosa, demonstrating the Mayor’s strong support among local democrats and activists.

The Sierra Club also endorsed the Mayor’s reelection effort and announced its "wholehearted" support of the Mayor’s efforts to seek a second term.

"We are honored to have the support of the Sierra Club and the LACDP," said Ace Smith, the Mayor’s strategist. "Angelenoes from all walks of life recognize that the Mayor has laid a solid foundation of change and progress for Los Angeles. From quadrupling renewable resources to hiring 1,000 new police officers, Mayor Villaraigosa has demonstrated that real progress can be achieved in Los Angeles."
